Structural Design Engineer - with Metro experience , He must have design experience in the following fields:
1. Basic understanding of the buildings with respect to Architecture, Structure and the services.
He/she should be in a position to provide suitable structural solutions to fulfill the requirements of Architecture and Services.
2. Adequate working knowledge of STAAD-Pro is necessary. Knowledge of one or more specialized
software such as E-TABS is desirable.
3. Basic and detailed engineering of concrete / steel structures and foundations for machines and industrial buildings.
4. Manual Design of building Structural components like Slab, Beam, Column, Staircases retaining walls.
5. Different foundations - spread footing, combined, raft, piles and pile caps.
6. Adequate knowledge of Earthquake Engineering codes to be incorporated in the buildings.
7. Detailing of reinforcement for RCC members
8. Detailing of structural steel members
9. Adequate knowledge of Indian Standard codes. Knowledge of British/ Euro codes is desirable.
10. Residential, commercial, industrial and high rise buildings.
11. Should be capable of effectively communicating with draftsmen to give them enough input and
checking the drawings prepared by them.
