The incumbent will be responsible for the planning and procurement of specific categories of items related to the Project within the defined time and budget.
This will include, inter alia, finalizing Bill of Quantities, identification of vendors, inviting quotation and bids, selection of vendors and procurement. The responsibilities will include understanding and interpreting technical and commercial specifications and ensuring compliance with quality, and safety standards and regulatory requirements.
In his role, the incumbent will be required to work with both Architects to the Project, with major and minor construction firms, vendors and suppliers of goods and services, with statutory bodies and regulatory authorities.
He will report to the Procurement Manager, Construction and Project Management.

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a reputed institution. Must be technically sound.
• 10-12 years in project management and especially procurement activities in the Construction industry, of which the last assignment will have been for around 5-7 years in a reputed construction firm/company involved in managing a sizable project.
• Will have strong process orientation, and will have worked to and within strong SOPs and control systems.
• Good people and negotiation skills, with evidence of being able to work collaboratively with different stakeholders.
• Must have a track record of completing tasks within defined cost and time constraints.
