The candidate will join Air Quality Control System group’s R&D team in Kolkata as R&D engineer. The main responsibilities will be:
- Lead R&D projects for developing mechanical systems (including robotics and special purpose machine) for inspection and maintenance of air pollution control equipment.
- Study existing designs/concepts of air pollution control equipments (ESP & FF), and develop new concepts to improve the performance/designs of various components/system.
- Preparation of manufacturing drawings and specifications
- Lead lab and field testing for evaluation of new concepts, including test planning and preparation of test reports
- Support the sourcing and manufacturing process as needed

Evaluation of existing concepts and designs,
Development of new concepts, in close collaboration with the Product Manager,
Detailed design of machine components including material selection,
Preparation of manufacturing drawings and specifications,
Coordination with the Key Commodity Manager of the sourcing and the manufacturing process,
When needed, experimental testing of the new components, including tests planning and preparation of test reports.
- Shall have experience in 3D CAD software preferably Catia-V
- Exposure to thermal and structural analysis with FEM will be beneficial
- Sound knowledge of materials and other engineering standards (IS, ASTM, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills and logical reasoning
