Position Description
Title : Sr.Engineer – Design
Description:
We are presently seeking candidates who can lead projects like Concept design, Modeling & Detailing with standard CAD softweres.
Qualification:
Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
Experience:
4-6 years of experience in Product design. Experience in automotive domain preferred.
Principle Accountability
o Lead project/ project teams on Concept design, Modeling and detailing of exhaust system, subassemblies and componets using standrad CAD softwares.
o Responsible for estimation, execution and sucessful delivery of the projects, meeting customer's time line and quality requirements.
o Responsible for team/project status reports.
o Responsible for customer communications and relationship building.
o Train and develop Junior engineers.
o On need basis, willing to travel to customer places.
o Upgrading skills and competencies to meet customer requirements.
o Communication with the customer on day to day activities.
o Participation in company employee involvement/ Continuos Improvement activities
Must have the following experience
o Fluent on CATIA V5 & UNIGRAPHICS
o Experience in product design and development.
o General Engineering knowledge, Automobile, strength of material etc
o Experience in dimensioning methodologies, generating production drawings and design release process.
o Experience in working with PLM, preferabily ENOVIA.
o Experience on design standards and drafting guidelines.
o Good Knowledge on GD&T, DFMA, DFMEA etc
o Experience on quality systems TS16946.
o Project management experience, prepairing job estimation, timimg plan and project planning.
Following are the added advantages:
o Exposure to Exhaust system design.
o Experience in packaging studies.
o Multi tool skills, more than one CAD software expereince.
o Exposure to production process, preferabilty on sheetmetal.
o Exposure to major OEM design standards like GM-tool kit, NTool etc
o Abiltiy to read and understand simulation reports.
o Experience in working with problem solving tools like, Fish bone diagram, 8D, DOF etc.
o Experience on tolerance stack-up analysis.
o Exposure to DVP and PVP process.
