Job Summary
Support the Senior Construction Managerby monitoring and advising on the implementation of specific packages of work within a major and complex infrastructure project encompassing all phases of the construction project cycle of construction time, cost and quality. Also performs administrative and specialized technical work in reviewing and coordinating approvals of documents related to professional consultant services. Reports to the Construction Manager
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in related subject or equivalent experience. Certification, registration, or licensing desirable and required if applicable to type of work.
Experience
Incumbent generally has over 5 years of related experience, including field experience and 5 years in a supervisory role of similar size and complexity. Incumbent has generally supervised works on packages within very complex large projects and has supervised on multiple packages concurrently.
Salary:
SAR 15,000 - 18,500

Duties & Responsibilities
• Ensure the Contractor’s compliance with the Contract Documents.
• Inspect all workmanship and material.
• Coordinate the supply of vertical and horizontal controls for the Contractor.
• Make layout checks on line and grades.
• Coordination with other Contractors.
• Maintain all file records on designated forms. These records include all reports on work force, equipment, progress, safety, etc.
• Review and approve the Contractor’s shop drawings.
• Locate, execute and interpret all soils and materials testing according to the provisions in the Contract Documents and Specifications.
• Responsible for the Contract and will not relieve the Contractor of his responsibilities without Client’s authorization.
• Responsible for the final materials submittals and approval.
• Check and certify progress payments to the Contractor.
• Check personnel, equipment and material costs for all Variation Orders and Change Orders required under the terms of the Contract.
• Review requests for additional compensation and time extension.
• Prepare Variation Orders for all ‘Additional’ and ‘New’ works.
• Preparation of the Monthly Report.
• Site Safety monitoring wherein the monitoring activities, meeting, reviews, safety violations,
rectification measures, and accident reports are included in the Monthly Progress Report.
• When necessary, determine proper costs of additions or credits due to the Client and recommend appropriate action.
• Inspect safety conditions and inform the Contractor of construction safety violations and follow up action to be taken.
• Attend all meetings, and prepare responses.
• Review, update, monitor and report on the Contractor’s work schedules, CPM-chart and Cash Flow Status.
• Monitor and report on progress of scheduled utility relocation work.
• Provide all photographs before, during, and after construction necessary to provide adequate documentation of changes in site and adjacent structures.
• Review and approve the Contractor’s plans for protection of existing buildings and structures.
• Review all construction activities regarding compliances with local traffic ordinances and public convenience.
• Receive and review complaints and claims of damage and expedite the Contractor’s investigation into these complaints and damage claims.
• Approve all restoration or final clean-up work.
• Review and make recommendations on Contractor’s claims.
• Coordination with other Contractors, Departments and Agencies.
• Provide a “punch list” and final inspection.
• Check and approve “as-built” drawings submitted by the Contractor.
• Check and approve the final payment certificate submitted by the Contractor.
